What we do with the details you share with us through this website, and the choices you have. In short: we only use them to reply to you.

Who we are

This website is run by Advectus Marketing Ltd, a company registered in Scotland (company no. SC794374), with its registered office at 0/1 33 Lansdowne Crescent, Glasgow, Scotland, G20 6NH. We decide how the personal information described here is used, which makes us its controller under UK data protection law.

What we collect

When you send our contact form: your name and email address and, if you choose to give them, your business, your message and how you came across us.

When you email us: your email address and whatever your message contains.

When you visit: like any website, our hosting provider automatically processes technical details such as your IP address and browser type, to deliver the pages and keep the site secure. We don’t use these to identify you.

Please don’t send us sensitive information, such as details about your health, through the form or by email.

How we use it, and why

We use your details to reply to your enquiry, to talk through and provide the work you ask about, and to keep a record of our conversation. How you came across us only tells us, in general terms, how people find us.

Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in answering the people who contact us or, where you’re asking about working with us, taking steps at your request before entering into a contract. We never sell your information, we don’t add you to a mailing list, and no decisions about you are made automatically.

Who we share it with

Only the services we need to run this website and our inbox: Framer, which hosts the website and receives contact form submissions, and our email provider. They handle your information on our instructions and keep it secure. Where any of them process it outside the UK, it’s protected by safeguards UK law recognises, such as an adequacy decision or approved contract terms.

We’ll only share it with anyone else if the law requires us to.

How long we keep it

Enquiries and correspondence are kept for up to 24 months after we last hear from you, then deleted. If we go on to work together, we keep the records we need for as long as the law requires, for example six years for accounting records.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or pass it to you or someone else in a portable form. Email enquiries@advectusmarketing.com. It’s free, and we’ll reply within one month.

Complaints

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK’s data protection regulator: ico.org.uk or 0303 123 1113.

We don’t use cookies, and there are no advertising or tracking tools on this site.

To make moving around the site feel seamless, your browser keeps a few small notes on your device: where you were on the homepage, so we can bring you back to the same spot (cleared when you close the tab), and the shape of photos you’ve already seen, so the photo grids lay out at once. They contain nothing about you and are never sent to us.

If we change how we handle personal information, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
